Bateup Consulting is passionate about sustainability and people and for this very reason has become carbon neutral.

Bateup Consulting saw that becoming a carbon neutral organisation as a key business value and this was achieved through the Climate Active Program. Our offsets were achieved through the Tiwi Islands Savannah Burning for Greenhouse Gas Abatement, of which the above photo represents the Tiwi Islands.

Whilst this offsetting strategy ensures that our operations are carbon neutral Climate Active certification covers this period, we additionally also decided to purchase additional offset units in order to ensure we remove all of our emissions backward to when Bateup Consulting was founded, in December 2018. So we can say we have been carbon neutral from inception. These values are also further incorporated through the GreenChair Program that Bateup Consulting initiated saving even further carbon.

We also encourage others to either have their projects or organisations become Carbon Neutral. Whilst the outcome was achieved with Climate Active it is important that the right team is engaged to facilitate this process, Bateup Consulting partnered with Cundall whose team have completed different projects in Western Australia.
